This work presents a new experimental method developed for obtaining, simultaneously, the thermal conductivity and thermal di usivity of solid materials. The method is based on the use of a new surface probe that has one resistance heater, two termocouples, and one heat ux sensor. The sample is partially heated in a frontal surface. Two regions, heated and non-heated front surface are used to estimate the thermal properties. The technique relies on the minimization of two distinct functions. Both are de ned from the same frontal surface temperature measurements, but using di erent thermal concepts.
